Luxury without safety is only theater. That is why our CHSE certification matters. CHSE stands for Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environmental Sustainability. It is a standard set by Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. Escape Liveaboard was assessed against it in 2021, under the government’s Indonesia Care program.
What the Certification Covers
The certificate applies to our dive tour operation. Independent assessors reviewed how we run our trips. As a result, the certification is not a symbolic seal. It reflects a real audit of our practices. The assessment was carried out by a consortium of TÜV Rheinland, Sucofindo, and Mutu International. Our operation received a “Satisfactory” rating.

Why It Matters on a Private Charter
On a crowded group tour, you share the risk with dozens of strangers. On a private charter, however, you place the whole trip in one crew’s hands. You spend days at sea, far from the nearest hospital. Therefore, trust is not a nice-to-have. It is the foundation of everything else.

Safety Aboard Adishree and Andamari
Certification is only the starting point. Both of our Phinisi carry full safety equipment on every voyage. For instance, each vessel has life jackets, life rafts, life buoys, first aid kits, and fire extinguishers. In addition, each has a rescue boat, a marine radio, and a Garmin GPS with VHF radio. Meanwhile, eight crew members stay on board to look after one group.

What You Can Expect Onboard
- Clean, air-conditioned cabins with en-suite bathrooms and hot water
- Meals prepared by an onboard chef, with dietary needs in mind
- Marine navigation and communication equipment on every voyage
- Full safety gear, checked before each departure
- A crew of eight dedicated to one group at a time
Good service should feel effortless. Behind that ease, however, sits real discipline. To learn more about our vessels, meet Adishree and Andamari, or read our story.
